Looks like the Russian Orthodox Church in the Netherlands just ask to split from the Russian Church in Moscow. I have Orthodox friends in another European country whose Priest said on Sunday that splits were coming in the Orthodox Churches and to be ready for them (their Church isn’t in the Russian group - but I don’t know which one they are).

Yep. I have to wonder if Putin was truly prepared for the blowback he’s getting, (esp. with Swift). The church news is demoralizing, to say the least.

When the dust settles and Europe will realise they stand alone because their rabbid full of hatred nazi’ism is not a seed but a poison that only produces death, it will be too late to reverse.
That will be a hard and difficult lesson for most europeans. I really am baffled by the former communist countries that are full-on on this train of folly hatred. I would think by undergoing a shock and awe economic disaster after the fall of the Soviet Union they would know better in not choosing a second one within their lifetime!

If you watched the interview with Ben Aris, you’ll find that Obama tried to get SWIFT to block Russia once before & SWIFT said “we are not political” & wouldn’t do it. I think it’s possible Putin thought they would do the same this time, but might have gotten surprised. The rest of what you say I agree with.

Yes, neru. CAF and JPF have been talking about how they were developing an alternative to SWIFT for at least 3 years now.
