Agreed. My local church is still in pre-2020, business-as-usual mode. To their credit, they preach the Word and Gospel rightly, but by-and-large, are totally clueless on the technology and danger arrayed against them. It should start with the pastor, elders, and men’s group. I have shared what I know, but most don’t believe and/or don’t know what to do. These are “good people”, meaning, they are not of a liberal mindset, and they do many things right in my eyes, but oh, are they ill-prepared for what is coming. Still doing spaghetti dinners and having revivals, the latter of which do not address the evils at hand.
I couldn’t agree more. I have been most blessed and greatly impressed by the preaching of Pastor Daniel at Corner Fringe Ministries. His emphasis on the Hebrew language, celebrating Jewish feasts/holy days, teaching from the Old Testament and tying it all into current events (as well as great pedagogic skill), have made his sermons very worthwhile, in my humble opinion. Not for everyone here on Giza, but it is not for me to keep to myself.
