Wow! While this isn’t exactly my style of music, it is impressive, and the translation shows that it isn’t what my housemate calls the modern trend of “I know three words, I deserve an award because I repeat these three words.” No, this song has poetry, power and was written by a human being, even if it is somewhat in the current pop style. Either the young man or an honest songwriter wrote it. When you compare this message to the cringing messages in most Western pop music or in the US that being proud of your ancestors is someone bad or they were horrible people. Well, let’s just say I think Russians are very different from what people in the West think about them. If this is an example of their popular music, the West had better watch out.
