... Shocked, shocked I tell you! ...The Rothchilds in Palestine in the 1880s. I don't believe it

… Who knows the reliability of this source? … Nonetheless interesting, … as always If true.

I am also told by a very reliable source that there are newspaper articles that reference the Rothchilds mucking about in Palestine as early as the late 1820s.

:coffee: Hi, I don’t deeply believe you are truly that shocked, but to my point. . . I could only go back to 1868 in my clipping files before I have to head to class. (I have the pdf if you would like, but one can drown in details).

The idea that came to me is, if your reliable source says there are references back to the 1820’s, (although newspapers are hardly paragons of …) that would converge with details in paragraph 2 below:

… you are correct. I’m in no way, shape or fashion shocked. In fact when ever I start a new topic with “Shocked, shocked I tell You!” I am paraphrasing the great line from Casablanca when
Captain Renault utters “I’m shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!”

In fact I wouldn’t be at all shocked if one day there should be found an ancient manuscript with references to the Rothchilds attempting to purchase lots in the Garden of Eden.

After all, we know from the story that at least one of the Rothchilds’ reps. (every pun intended) was there. Hint: I believe he was the one depicted in the paintings as coiled around a tree.

:coffee: :tea: Ok (A) I do have some more et al’s besides Calvin, just saying. (B) My question for you, in your view . . .since they were given dominion over all critters crawling on the ground, why, prithee, did they not exercise their delegated authority over the coiling, His Rottenhood?
