Something to do ... make a similar request to your state to find out where EBT funds are being spent

Gee, with all of the technological wizardry available you’d think it wouldn’t be any problem to keep the cards from working outside the state of issue. I guess we just control what and who we want to control. Also, look around the stores in your area. You’d be surprised at what “qualifies” as a “necessity” for those using EBT funds. Want to bet this isn’t only true for Massachusetts?

Yeah, that war on the impoverished has been decades long. Started with that Texan holding his beagle up by the ears in front of the cameras…

Citizens need not apply.
However; illegal aliens, will also get travel & hotel accommodations.

Yep a report on a few bad apples ruins the whole barrel and so well written as to get everyone’s gander up. EBT cards are normally used by those without bank accounts. They were probably stolen or traded for drugs. Banks now open accounts for anyone receiving a direct deposit of $200 or more and issue a debit card.

That isn’t requirement for opening a bank account in Washington, usually just need $100 for initial deposit and have to pay $7 a month maintenance fee.

I have EBT for food only no cash benefit, can only buy cold food with that. Anyone with less than $1,500/month income or $3,000/month if they’re self-employed qualifies for food aid but amount is reduced depending on if you have any income at all (that is declared).

To qualify for cash aid individuals must have less than $400/month income, and if they qualify for social security benefits (meaning unable to work due to disability) that will be used to pay the state back the money paid.

Welfare made easy via tracking. We don’t want to inconvenience the ‘downtrodden’. Let’s prove how dumb they are. ‘We’re from the government and we’re here to help’. Gotta swell those numbers so we can eliminate all those with more than 2 IQ points to rub together. :upside_down_face:
