St Maximilian Kolbe, a Franciscan monk, offered his life for another inmate of Auschwitz, who was a family man, as ten inmates were being executed by starvation for the escape of one other inmate. He spent his remaining time with the other condemned men ministering to them until he finally passed. He is the patron saint of political prisoners, journalists, radio operators including podcasters and had established the Militia Immaculata in 1917 to counter and to pray for the conversion of Freemasons (he believed and stated *’'as an organized clique of fanatical Jews") who were attempting a colour-revolution-style protest to take down the Vatican.
