Storm Dudley and now calm before the next storm Eunice

So last night i could not sleep because of storm Dudley. He made so much noise he kept me up all night. And today the whole day he was ragging. It was a bad storm today in Northern Europe.
And at the moment it is very silent. It is a very strange feeling. It is the calm before the storm. Tomorrow we will be hit again by storm Eunice. He is more nasty compared to Dudley.
It will be a big one. I think it is the first time that National Railway is going to cancel all trains tomorrow in the afternoon. Schools are ending early as well.

This was in hamburg today on the ferry with storm Dudley.

Yeah, our “alert” is blairing so long about covid they were a few days late in alerting the public about this storm! Ellie, do you live near the sea?

Hope CAF is doing ok in Friesland.

CAF was in the red zone of the storm near the Ijsselmeer in Friesland. I think she is fine but she got blasted with wind today. And it would not suprise me if she did go outside and stand on the dyke watching the waves. I would if I was in her area.
In my area it was to dangerous to go outside because of the trees. (Veluwe)
It was a nasty storm. 4 people died today because of falling trees.
And it was high tide so that is always high alert but the dykes and deltaworks hold out well. Nobody got wet feet.

Surrounded by a few trees myself but to date they hold.

Yeah, can see CAF admiring the waves washing inlands and enjoying the breeze. At least all her cobwebs and germs are blown far away. Virusses too if you still believe in that. (blown back to China for the next pandemic release)

I slept like a baby and woke up this morning in fabulous sunshine weather. Indeed calm before the next storm? Time to get outdoors for a spell.
