Sturm und drang and chinese balloons

“Joe Biden gave the greenlight. But cooler heads prevailed, in part because there was concern expressed within the military chain of command that falling debris could kill Americans on the ground, and the U.S. opted to let it fly.”

Biden is right for once! Get them out of the air before they go over very heavily populated areas!

After 911, have we learned nothing? Or, maybe it’s not ‘Chinese’?

Now moving directly east over Nashville, TN. There was a balloon over Costa Rica too.

Is anyone wondering if this is a spy balloon, then how is exfiltration of data occurring?

Figuring that out may be why there has been hesitation in shooting it down.

Maybe it is a weather balloon. Maybe the hullabaloo is just theater.

At a minimum it is a probing of defenses in the US air space.

I wonder how the US responded to the Chinese communications? Oh sorry, my bad.

For some reason I started thinking about Ice Station Zebra, which opens with a satellite releasing a data package into the arctic. It’s not always easy getting data out of denied airspace.
