The CERN project was farmed out as well. Allegedly so no individual nation participant would know exactly every detail of the large hadron collider. A decent security enhancement to cloak any hidden purposes. I wonder if this is the same. Just because Russia is involved doesn’t mean everything is on the up and up. But, who knows?
