TD Banking in Canada

I went to pay my bills at the TD bank today.

I was told that I was no longer allowed to pay my bills at the teller. All bills must now be paid on-line.

Another step towards total control.

What kind of bills? With cash, check, debit card?

Visa.
I’m going to find out in a week or so if it’s phone, gas, electric etc…

Good luck with your fight!

Due to settling, ground settling, a gasket cracked on our gas metre and we had a leak outdoors. It stank and alerted us to the danger. I called 911 and got Fire to clamp it up. Then called Xcel Energy to come.
They installed a new metre.

Then a week or 2 later, we got our gas bill for the month. It was like 500% larger than usual.
It seems the new metre is reading gas we didn’t use, and we are paying for the leak.

Called their customer service and we will see if I can get logic to win and not pay for gas I did not use.

Who uses $150 of heating gas during the Summer during a heat wave? ROFL . not me.

Apologies - I didn’t answer the question properly.
No payment methods are accepted - cash, cheque, debit. Only on-line OR at the bank machine (which is on-line).

… I actually had this happen to me once. Where I domicile the decision is made as to who pays for the leaked gas depending on which side of the meter the leak was located … on their side they eat the loss … on your side you pay.

Well i mean, it was outdoors. So it’s all on them. And ‘an Act of God’ cuz the ground settled after a storm and wetness. Hmmmm
