There’s at least a hundred pounds of acorns in the grass and on the drive way from an oak tree in the yard, not a squirrel or bird in sight.

I have read several stories of woodpeckers hoarding nuts… I’d love to know what they are thinking. That’s more nuts than a woodpecker could ever eat!

Maybe he is a generous woodpecker who would share with others in case of a possible upcoming food crisis brought about by who knows what? Still, amazing if it is only one.
