Texas history - how often do we have 'resets'?

Thought this was some interesting TEXAS history which made me wonder about our real history and possible '‘RESETS’? Any comments?

While I agree with the videographer, getting to know Texas history, and Galveston is especially important.

During the Civil War, Galveston was the only southern port left open, as The Union had managed to close all the others. Galveston was so difficult to reach by the sea side, that Union troops literally died of heat (due to woolen clothing), dehydration, and their boats hitting shallow shelves and breaking apart. Obviously, many people did make it onto the island, esp. Masons. Masonry is VERY big on Galveston Island. Question is, who (plural) made it in? Galveston in those days was well known for it’s nefarious reputation, and still is.

I spend a lot of time in Galveston, esp. in the winter time, and there are many old structures refurbished after 1900. The secret(s) of who built the originals still remains. I wish I had a better answer. With regard to ancient civilizations, read the Diary of Cabaza de Vaca. Attached is just a snippet, but his diary is available for purchase.

I hope you will continue posting these investigations.

surely there are some photos of these buildings made during construction somewhere…deeper in the archives?
