Cannabis bought from a legal source will be about twice the price of street pot… People have told me they will still go to the street dealers.
If the pot is home grown in Texas that seems a reasonable choice. Much better than Mexican Cartel pot.

The term “Texas lawmakers” mean assholes convening in Austin. To me, since I lived there the first 7 years of my getting over the idea that everything I was told about Texas was a lie… only to deal with Ann Arbor on steroids… I know that any person serving in the TX capitol will be influenced by 6th Street and the need to appease the Left. The fact is that pot is the least of anyone’s worries and being on the border, it is stupid to think that there isn’t an established market here. Why not make it legal and tax the poo out of them? Maybe that will build a wall.

To say they’re ‘losing money’ is an understatement; they’re losing big. Using as tax write-off and keep it up and running because either they, and/or friends & family want drugs. Plain and simple. The regulations, licensing, taxes, etc. that would have to be done and maintained is over-the-top.
Currently, the amount of theft, by patrons and employees alike is outrageous. I’m a contract worker and my boss at this store got really, I mean really lucky because I don’t use that crap; I’ve long past that ‘experimental phase’ in my life and the boss knows it. Took him 3 months to realize it, but hey; some people are slow learners, esp. when they’re stoners.
Even if it’s legalized, most will still go street. Legal pot will be a lot more expensive and given what’s coming upon the globe, few will be able to buy legally. One terrible aspect of it is, people will skip the food, clothing and shelter to get a fix; they do that now. Imagine what it will be like in the near future?
