Texas Secession (also known as TEXIT)

… making no claims as to whether or not it is legal (whatever that means nowadays), a good idea, or even in reality a possibility. But one has to admit it is an interesting notion. Texas would suddenly find itself having the 10th largest GDP in the world. And let us not forget that Texas produces roughly something slightly over 40% of US oil. As Geza Vermes replied when asked to comment on the controversy surrounding John Strugnell and The Dead Sea Scrolls (the interviewer was wanting one heavy duty academic to denegrate another) he simply rolled out a lengthy litany on Strugnell’s lack of production finishing with the line, “These are the facts”.

Texas was once owned by the Habsburgs, according to Archduke Eduard Habsburg. These days anything might happen.

A good point. I hadn’t thought of it, but if we start to see states building their own HAARP-type systems, that could be a sign they’re getting serious about independence. Not that I expect this to happen . . .

That 40% of U.S. oil production would be reason enough for the federal government to do everything in its power to see that there’s never a TEXIT. Unless somehow the “green” fanatics actually manage to quash widespread production and sale of so-called fossil fuels.

The one wildcard I can think of in the secession issue is foreign governments. If one of the technologically advanced BRICS countries supported a breakaway state, that could change the whole calculus. Of course, that could also intensify World War III, which is already underway in all sorts of ways, both conventional and nonconventional.

I had not considered one of the states having their own GeoEng System. Given the power of the Fed and other nations, I don’t think any U.S. state could stand alone for long. They have neutered and indoctrinated too many for too long.

Something has to be done…

You’re probably right. Though, to indulge in ultra-high-octane speculation, imagine some other country with geoengineering systems using their geoengineering to protect a breakaway state. Just another “future fiction” scenario that came to mind . . .

To paraphrase Edward Grim*, What miserable drones and traitors have been nurtured and promoted in this land who allow it to be treated with such shameful contempt by the booboisie!

*Grim the “biographer” of Thomas à Becket, not to be confused with the wonderful character (Ed Grimley) created and played by Martin Short. Our most recent unpleasantness makes me mental, I must say.
