Texas Secessionists 'Taking Over' GOP State Convention, Group Says | Newsweek

At this point, it’s sensationalist bunk. Legislation tells the truth and we’re not there, yet.

If they aren’t talking Geoengineering and Weather Wars, it won’t make any difference.

They’re talking MONEY and that does make a difference.

There is actually an organization that purports to represent the government of the Republic of Texas. They have officers, regular meetings. I’ve talked with them about analyzing the economic implications of a secession. Things like impact to the (externally dependent) economy, trade treaties with other states/the US/other countries, import and export duties / issues. It’s not even on their radar. So, it would likely be like the first Texas Republic of the 1830s…ill conceived with currency problems from the outset and hoping to get saved by re-entry into the USG due to poor planning/management.

I talk to TEXIT fairly often and have found same, if that’s to whom you’re referring. Another big stickler is that of Social Security.
