"The Abolition of Man"

In the Abolition of Man, CS Lewis wrote about the “irredeemable urban blockhead.”

“He is usually spiritually impoverished, often stunted in imagination. He is one who has been taught to mindlessly debunk anything that smacks of sentiment or philosophy or moral reasoning. In short, he has learned to be rationalistic without being truly rational.”
