I am a folk musician, rather than a classical one, but I also pay attention to the role of music in popular uprisings and movements. I heard this song today, it is making the rounds of rather conservative/libertarian sites, but I think it may crossover. I think it has the potential of becoming the first anthem of the next US Civil War, or perhaps, as I think Amy intended, give us a warning that it might be coming, as the best of this style of music does. It warns in hope, both to prevent and, if needed, to remember pivot points in time. Finally, it is a rather sad but profound commentary about a generation (mine-boomers) who somehow lost their way…
