Hooked me at 16-seconds in (Mt. Ranier hike) with stunning imagery.
Obviously, a great eye for perspective and the music is perfect.
I am a former, avid day hiker, meaning, I did not backpack or camp. But man, there is nothing like being out on the trail. I would daily/weekly hike our local mountain (Mt. Diablo elev. 3850-ft) for 4, 6, and occasionally, 8-10 hours at a time. No comparison to Harmen Hoek, mind you, but I did get a good swig of what he is drinking in out there.
Thank you, @Freefall. This website is a gem.
Ranier is gorgeous.
The strongest sun I’ve ever encountered outside of the beach.
@sharick He takes me places I will never see … I can hear the insects … the running rivers … the birds … and the silence … The work involved in solo filming and editing is next level … Enjoy and may everyone have a peaceful joyous Christmas …
A complete list of all his films … i LOVE them all … But this morning I’m off to Iceland
Thank you very much for sharing this. The cinematography is first rate, and captures the beauty of nature.
(We also love hiking, and through untrailed wilderness, and thus appreciate the effort that goes into making films of this calibre. This is not easy cinematography…)
