The assorted quark models (QCD/QED) of the electron are highly problematic, always have been. The current model assumes the electron is a point-charge devoid of any volumetric reality, while simultaneously assigning values to its charge and spin states. Mind boggling. A point-charge with zero volume implies infinite energy, conflicting directly with the First Law, and also the repeated conceptual used of the electron as a measurable entity for the purposes of engineering. What has always been needed is a topological and geometric assessment of the electron in-flux, how exactly is the electron distributed in abstract space, and what volume does it occupy and deploy in its states of motion?
