Yeah when it was all just strange, fanciful, and probable thinking. When it was all leveled by the belief that the gov’ that would not let that happen. Now, it is: well, UT OH …

Archive is a fantastic resource.

A few years ago I told Margaret about the ā€œwayback machineā€ on archive.org to pick the latest full year and they are the same original mp3 files from the original byte show website. That way you don’t have to convert the mp4 files to save space. I haven’t checked recently. I had downloaded them all from the original site right after Georgeann crossed over.

Tonight I am listening to the early Byte show episodes. Specifically the Cosmic War series. I am struck by some of the prescient comments George-Ann had on mind control. We live in such a strange world, in many ways a brutal landscape but these broadcasts, some over a decade old are gold. We get to hear a wonderfully open minded host platforming a great free thinker and alternative researcher bringing knowledge and education to all corners of the internet long after they have departed our cinematic plane.

and doesn’t time fly? :frowning:

our biggest problem is our short life span.
I really think we are ā€˜supposed to’ live around 300 years.

Me too found GDS after tuning into The Byte Show in 2008. A serendipity during a challenging time as well.

Hopefully memory of incentive can be passed down genetically so our quest becomes a continuum. The internet serves as a kind of library and I hope it can be preserved through the coming storm.

so many tings are getting deleted in real time! the hey-day of the Web was like 2010. since then, delete direct direct redirect, delete delete…its sad

No doubt this has happened before, book burnings are one example, this is why recordings like the Byte show are important. I feel like this period of early podcasts will be looked back on as culturally significant.

It’s a bit tangential and, of course, highly speculative…but I read that during the solar outbursts/Carrington style events (magnified) preceding a pole shift the copper in one’s walls is potentially ā€œheatedā€ to the point that a house fire would be inevitable. Taking this idea further I’ve ALSO read (who knows) that many/most metals might be more-or-less liquified.

I’ve only played around with this idea in my head (such as it is) for a small time and it’s probably bunk but if this WERE the case then stone/crystal would be the only method of preserving ā€œtextsā€ information after these potential 12000 year cyclical events.

Interesting thought experiment at any rate…for now I’m keeping my analog magnetic tape:
