Just finished it!
Absolutely Loved It.
CANREADS Book Review: “A high-octane science fiction adventure that blends interstellar intrigue with the pulse and momentum of a treasure-hunt thriler. Imagine the ‘Expanse’ infused with the adventurous spirit of ‘Indiana Jones’, and you beging to grasp the propulsive charm of this galaxy-spanning novel” [already ordered two more from this author.]
Now starting a new one: Lovestruck Maggot by Jarrett Brandon Early - April 27, 2026 - 284 pages.
Starts out very scientific with a corporate descrition of a possible planet to invest in, describing the intial drone explorations conclusions.
“OFFICIAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
Establish an exploratory colony on the planet to ascertain human reaction to atmosphere variables, radiation levels, and UV exposure on Kalderra. Target participants for the colony could be drawn from ostracized, fringe, or unpopular religious groups, hazardous political parties, or criminal populations. Exuberant explorers, scientists, and philosophers should also be considered.”

Also just finished…
The Malfunction by Orval Wax - Jan 30, 2026 - 238 pages
Another stellar read, that has a Sex Robot that ends up with a “malfunction”…
right at the start of the novel.
It’s a quick, fun, loaded with dark humor, and action-packed - read!
With an intellgence twists - throughout!
The Literary Titan - “…a first contact story folded inward: not aliens meeting humans, but a manufactured mind colliding with its own awakening… ‘The Malfunction’ is a smart, unruly novel about what happens when desire outpaces design.” [I’ve already orderred the othe two in the series.]
