Bingo! And the president isn’t elected via a strictly democratic vote; the Electoral College is there to keep states with small populations from becoming irrelevant in presidential elections. The desire of the powers-that-be is, and has been for some time, to replace the American republic (such as it is) with a democracy. Naturally, given our poor excuse for an educational system and decades of media propaganda, most Americans have no idea the U.S. was supposed to be a republic that tried to strike a balance between representing individual states and representing the voting public.
