What seems to be happening is that many national and regional collection points have or are in the process of doing this. This is why platforms like Palantir are important because all this data will be uploaded to Palantir and/or Oracle, Microsoft and Amazon etc. The route to universal global digital Id, will be several and different in different location but it will all be centralised. Russia has just implemented its digital id system. China and India already have it. Russia’s state-backed WeChat copy launches digital ID | Biometric Update. The point is that these digital id systems will be subsumed under the UN Pact for The Future . The goal is a global citizen id system.
