All the gaps are important, The Russian ‘conglomerate’ is just taking the bigger one first. It was interesting to me to find that the pro-Russian forces not only contained Belarusians, Chinese, and N. Koreans, but a number of Africans as well. Not sure why that was surprising; I suspect mercenaries, but IDK.
