A nice symbolic gesture and probably a decent template for people to pursue. However, in some countries such as Canada where I live this path has already been chosen. So far the lower courts have ruled mainly in favor of government. Meanwhile we’re all waiting for this debacle to be heard by the Supreme Court of Canada (which can refuse to hear it without explanation) which has the final say on things of this nature, more specifically individual rights. Should that be won then the door should hopefully open for criminal charges.
Yes to both. TGR is not failing, just being fought over.
