A wonderful interview! (a new book and wouldn’t it be wonderful if a movie was made of it)
It brings back memories of being in the studios during the production of one of Ringo’s solo albums in Hollywood. Everyone was there at one time or another except for Paul. (Sheriff) Mal Evans, of course, Jim Keltner(drums) from Los Feliz near Griffith Park. Along with some British and New York musicians. In those days there was no high speed internet so 2 inch 16 track tapes would be sent to England where Paul would overdub vocal tracks so Ringo could use the phrasing on some of the songs. They would be flown back and then Ringo would overdub his vocals.
That’s some of my memories of those times. What fun!
