German Shepherds are majestic and kinetic creatures. Saw a video recently of a female Shepherd in a shelter. An employee in the facility explained, these dogs don’t do well in a shelter environment. They start circling around anxiously and is not good for their mental health. The dog shown seem to had been on the streets for some time, not responding to words, but interacted well with food. What caught my attention, the dog was not responding to words, she had a blank stare, until another employee started talking in Spanish. The dog started whining and became very alert, they concluded she came from a Spanish speaking family.
Think this has been talked about in the vidchats. Language has a frequency, a signal, a topological space, a field of information that is shared by people. What surprised me is that animals seem to share that topological space also, even if they don’t speak the language.
I have been struggling with prayer. I am reading Orthodox devotionals in English, have no problem with the language. Love English, speak it well, writing is a little rough around the edges, but able to get a message across, specially the rants. With prayer is different, this is deeply personal, and when I pray in English, in the back of my mind, think that I am being fake before God almighty. That I need to approach the Holy Trinity in my native tongue. That my spiritual connection and adoration should be performed the way God made me. Maybe I’m crazy but it doesn’t feel right. Gut feeling it should be Spanish.
