This was done on purpose (nazi blunder). Current regime in DC wants Zelenski gone, since he is associated in USA and UKR with his oligarch buddies. We really don’t know what a long-term goal of that clique in Kiev is. There is already a new kid on a block.
Gen. Valerii Zaluzhnyi and he is staunchly pro-NATO, so things my get escalated on a war front next year, instead of quieting down. A high-ranking officer as a president always foretells more war, historically.
Pair it with recent international forum of private sector weapon producers and we have an interesting picture.
Me thinks that soon we all will be remembering Zelenski, more as a peace maker than a war hawk.

Poland is very happy to have Russians and Ukrainians killing each other. There is an election a month away and the gong show in Canada has focused a lot of hatred for Ukraine in Poland into an election issue. So the parties in Poland are competing to see how much Ukraine bashing they can do.
No more Polish arms to Ukraine. Let the rest of EuSSA supply them.
No more agriculture deals with Ukrainian grain transiting Poland.
Most importantly Poland is now backtracking on their promise to send 80k-100k young men back to Ukraine to die in the next great offensive. As much as they’d like to they’ll wait until after the election so the young guys have a month to make a run for it.
