Incredible that Russia produced such a beautiful church in this day and age that reflects their cultural heritage and fight to defend their land.
Religion is an integral part of the military now per the book by Dmitry Adamsky, Russian Nuclear Orthodoxy, which is on my book stack to read.

Centering church around military empire( Hitler scull among other relics) is in direct opposition to the words of Christ “…my kingdom is not of this world …” and does not bode well for the future of that church.

Would it be better to have a military NOT affiliated with a Church? We aren’t talking the Crusades or Knights Templar type of relationship. A culture is composed of many institutions and that includes religion and military.
Russian culture reflects their history. Acknowledging the role of the military protecting their orthodoxy seems a no brainer.
