The New Battlefield Is Electronic; Where Humans Are Vanishing From The Field

Demographic, economic, and political factors are all motivating the replacement of human warfighters with “robots”. This is then reflected in commercial areas as well; engendering a digital robotic paradigm as a new default architecture, an embedded systems, if you will. This robotic paradigm is now becoming the foundation of training for most new century engineers. Even in the primary and secondary schools; robotics have become the predominant framework through which science, technology, engineering, and math subjects are introduced,
Indeed it will become extremely difficult to develop weapon systems[or any other complex product] that ISN’T robotic! Attempting to do so might be like practicing blacksmithing or glassblowing: the exercise of an antique technology maintained for purpose of nostalgia.
All’s fine and well; except for the ever lingering Sword of Damocles: EMP, electronic magnetic pulse.
Either through the Sun, or manufacture, or other galactic sources; can effect an EMP.
If a cheap and powerful EMP weapon appeared on the scene?
Analogue would be the antidote.
Warren Buffet did start those steam engine locomotives?
Did he and others have some inside dope?
Are there analogue weapons being developed outside the mainstream information garbage dumps?
A supreme irony would be analogue development being outsourced…
Off-Planet.

Also, special forces penetration ops use sophisticated analogue;
to enter silently, into an enemy’s electronic warfare field.

In other words, is the evolution of analogue technologies, over with?
Or, gone dark?

… I repeat for those who “have ears to hear” … substations.

To quote Johnny Mnemonic (the short story, not the film)… “when they expect low, go high” or vice versa.

Might take some of both. There’s a game from 2000 that explored the dangers/possibilities of merging with artificial intelligence: “Dues Ex”.

You played as an augmented human. Political intrigue. Believe it or not a good portion of the plot has to do with a deadly virus, administering a vaccine and changing “governance”…who would have thought? Predictive…

Had some interesting dialog and three optional endings…You can watch all three on youtube. This was MY choice:

“The net’s going! The net’s going black! No more communications of ANY kind. We’ll start again…live in villages…if you receive this, if you you survive, then find us!”

“Yesterday we obeyed kings and bent our necks before emperors but today we will bow only to the truth”

That part alone was worth the price of admission.

Just thought I’d drop this here… It’s a short with some visuals and impacts of the data center going in rural Louisiana. Roughly the size of Manhattan…

Take some time to read some of the comments from the video. While I do my best not to speak in absolutes… NOONE wants this!

… We should start a new “back to” movement … Back To AnalogVille. … and that will be the name of the settlement. AnalogVille.

Well us analogs are going to be using our biometric data to access our new quantum financial accounts with the Treasury. That is fairly unique I would think.

Sliderulers only in AnalogVille…

I know my way around a few of the trades…

Calling dibs on a good spot in the town square I’m thinking a steampunk/blacksmith shop. Foundry on the back side. Maybe an attached livery if it could be managed.

Thinking of calling it “Traditional Tangibles”

Before, we were reluctant to wear masks.
But if this biometric business gets going, maybe that’s when analogue holdouts will start masking up…

Time to return to automatic watches!
