The Bible study group that I spent nine months attending taught the New Testament did away with Jewish laws, meaning faith was all that mattered for a Christian to save their soul. No discussion about Jews having two souls and non-Jews having only one that was inferior or animal like. I suppose beliefs are based on what one believes or forced to believe by the conquering tribe. One cannot deny the cleverness of the Jewish mind set and their significant placement in the world’s hierarchy.

Yes that’s the narrative the Methodists espouse. I read somewhere they were the counter force to the Jacobins. The Methodists sprang from England during the hotbed of radicals rallying the masses during the 18th century Enlightenment. Perhaps that helps explain their current progressive version of Christianity.
