The second longest Christmas

According to the Guinness World Records the Philippines has the longest Christmas celebrations in the world . Puerto Rico has the second place. In Puerto Rico Christmas starts on September. Why? :joy: Because the local furniture store says so. The store always put the Christmas tree after Labor day, signaling people to get ready. Christmas ends on February 2nd. The celebration is called ā€œLa Candelariaā€. People burn their Christmas trees signaling the new season. In the video the Pastor of a local church explains it much better.

Wish we had Orthodox Churches in Puerto Rico. I think the Orthodox church would grow very fast because people are looking for traditional worship, which is lacking in many churches. There is only one Orthodox Church in Puerto Rico, in the town of San German.

Sadly many of the churches where I live, have fallen to Rock & Roll Jesus and female pastors. All the progressive nonsense from the States was adopted here. That’s why I don’t go to any church. I am waiting for a legit Orthodox mission.

As it turns out, Puerto Rico does have the longest Christmas since the world’s most profitable money laundering occurs there - the IRS, the private collection agency for the US Corporation.

I worked for the IRS during a tax season. Employees and businesses have to pay Social Security etc. The IRS operation is mostly for those things. There are tax exemptions but those are coming from congress not the IRS. Most of those Tax exemptions are already gone, because they didn’t generate the jobs that were promised. They were for job creation not to launder money.
