… Mamdani taps lawyer who defended al Qaeda terrorist as NYC chief counsel | Fox News
When I was newly 18 I went to Oklahoma City to stay with an uncle and look for work. It was summer and hot. I went inside a drug store to get a soda and cool off. In those days there was a counter with stools where you could order a drink. A man came to sit beside me and we talked. He said he thought he could get me a job at the Sheraton Hotel so I gave him my uncle’s phone number. What began was systemic harassment by a group of mid eastern men trying to force me into prostitution. They followed me everywhere. As soon as I walked into a place a call would come for me from one of a group of them. They were not subtle.
Finally, I went to my uncle, who was just as upset as I knew he’d be because I’d spoken to a stranger. When he calmed down, he said, “Lets see if they are following you. We are going to the police.” We did and I never heard from them again.
Later I learned something like this happened to one of my cousins down in Texas, Dallas or Ft Worth, I don’t remember, all mid eastern men. The way she described what happened there was a lot of money involved.
For reference, I am now 81.
