The Tin Men by Nelson DeMille and [his son] Alex DeMille - 2025

Spoiler Alert.
Generally I’m not really into mainstream; as they tend to support false narratives:
CO2 carbon credits nonsense, 9/11 Arab Box cutters, etc., etc.] Although it’s turning.

This work does take a “novel” turn.
The plot concerns a murder on a top-secret Army base in the mojave desert.
Gets into some heavy-duty philosophical Man/Ai Robot questions.
Says the main problem is; with autonomous decisions on what is a legitimate target[weddings?]
A CID team[man/woman Warrent Officiers] are sent to investigate.
They knew who did it: A robot. A military killer robot.
The twist comes, when the motive was killing the officier who discovered what the Killer Robots were desinged for. That officier was killed by the programmed robot, to take the military secret to his grave. The secret?
Again, Spoiler Alert!
Don’t read further, if you want to read it, w/o knowing…

The secret was?
The Killer Robots were designed for the USSA’s domestic population!
The private sector’s policies for the country; were predicted to be resisted enmasse.
This blacked op was silo-ed, so not many were in the loop.
The Killer Robots, were part of the privatly funded solution.
[basically, that’s it in a broad brushstroke]

Now that plot, is the kind of mainstream turn that’s needed!
[I fast read; after chapter 11, and skipped to the end]
