My FICO score was reduced by 25 points this month. No inquiries, no requests for credit, nothing different financially. Went from excellent to very good…
Perhaps those in the 700 range would be denied loans if this happened to them. Seems a way to shut down financial institutions exposure and tighten up credit expansion.

Exactly! My score did the same. No inquiries, no requests and I pay on time; never miss a beat. I hear it coming, "Oh, but you DO qualify for a ‘tiny home’… There are a couple of neighborhoods built out of nothing but tiny homes. I’ll keep my apt in the hood…

I have to wonder if this fight with Iran is really affecting things this much, or if it’s just an excuse to try to make more money while us regular folk suffer.

Welcome to the show! Seems any excuse is valid when a hustle opportunity arises. Few things are done to help us regular folk.
Oh yes, this ‘fight’ is affecting things much more than is being announced. The damage done to ME producers, refiners & storage is pretty bad. The problem is that Trump didn’t entice Iran fast enough to finish them off before The Russians decided to get involved. I don’t know what was said in the conversation between Trump/Putin, but Trump took a step back; even if it’s temporary.
