Douglas Valentine’s books on the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and the FBI are insightful, “Strength of the Wolf” and “Strength of the Pack.” The lines between organized crime and secret police have always been blurred and both shield bureaucracy that is the front for aristocratic ignobles of the old world. I would like to see the exposure of J Edgar Hoover as an agent of the crown.
