Those Good Ole By-Gone Analogue Days

Many are realizing that the analogue days, were the good old days.
When the press 1 for, and press 2 for; started…
Digital was in essence - Making Its Debut!

AND…, a one, and a two.
Who knew!
[binary glory days are coming soon,

Sometimes I disagree with that guy, but that is a good rant.

The anger, ‘i am stuck’ moment came when I had to use a qr code to PARK IN A PARKING GARAGE

There was no more cash input at the gate and no more toll booth let alone anyone in it. No gate actually. Just a pole, no bar.

I told my wife forget about it we are just going in to the venue , if they dont care enough to accept all payments and to properly enforce their business with gates then they dont care enough to waste my time with a telephone, but she didn’t feel like getting towed.

I have 4 friends who work in ‘cash only’ businesses. All 4 businesses refuse to install debit machines why? 2 main reasons:
First, the rental costs for these machines are far too high to justify the expense especially when ‘the system goes down’. The banks hound them constantly with rental plans.
The second reason is security. They see these machines as backdoors into their business accounts at whatever bank they’re dealing with, more so if they’re using a wifi connection. These are only small businesses. 2 are barber shops and the other 2 are seasonal food take outs.
All 4 have built up a clientele that has no problem paying in cash. The tips are generous too.

Yes!
Also, those “machines” have software superiority;
where many small businesses, have no chance if…?

Went to a big name concert that was like that. Multi-stage hassles to buy and display tickets, multi-stage hassles to buy and display receipt for parking. No more concerts for me. Talked to some of the young’uns at the venue and they recognized it was a hassle but they didn’t seem to mind.
