Through the Quantum Looking Glass Courtesy of Sandia National Laboratories

Shining a laser at a GaAs metasurface (i.e., not optical), the good old folks at Sandia National Laboratories and the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light created a complex web of photon entanglements with all pairs entangled together. Some pairs are entangled at different wavelengths and emerge in the direction of the incoming laser beam. Hmmm…

Can’t help but think of Time Crystals( plasmas)… in virtual form?

Makes the Enigma Machine look Mickey Mouse, by non-locality comparison standards.

Well, what I find also interesting is that “conventional wisdom” concerning technology that we see today is really decades (20-40 years?) old. But this Looking Glass concept was really discussed 150 years ago by Lewis Carroll, a mathematician writing children’s books…yeah, right… You can even go back further with John Dee and Nostradamus. But with Lewis, it’s quite ingenious couching the science of phase conjugation in a children’s story.
