While I’m not completely convinced that a super earth couldn’t have inhabited the zone if the celestial mechanics altered enough over the eons from what’s observed today…at least he leaves open the possibility of a smaller body towards the end of the article as noted below…

I’m wondering as an Orthodox man of faith if your theology holds to a form of “Old Earth Creationism” which as a Reformed man of faith is the view I hold to…whatever the case…I know we’d both agree that the Creator at some time in the distant past created it all ex nihlio and through Christ for his glory…
