Thank you @vardas3 for this link. If you are writing re Augustine, does this work address Gnosticism? Asking because of late, many are addressing and writing about Augustine and Gnosticism, and I remembered long ago your reference to writing a book about it. Thinking of its shape shifting characteristics and infiltration into our faith and culture.
I DO discuss the relationships and parallelisms between the two in the “tome” (God, History, and Dialectic) but NOT in this book. The final chapter is just re, the problems in Augustinism as a system of thought from the Orthodox context.

Thanks, Dr. Farrell a must read. Maximus’ theology of freedom is deeply Christological, rooted in the Incarnation. The ordo theologiae, Maximus’ understanding of providence and later Augustinian/Calvinist predestination. Is all here folks.
