As I indicated at the beginning of this week’s blogs, this was a very difficult week to figure out what to blog about, because there were so many stories on so many diverse topics and subjects that were all noteworthy. So in our usual roundup of weekly bloggable stories, I want to thank all of you…
Bad news on the AI fronts.
Maduro sings about the CIA/China/Computer fraud.
The House stripping out the pesticide immunity?
Means, despite their too many to count flaws…
Those House Pests are still human…
And want to live healthier lives as well…
For now, at least

For those of us who don’t have time to watch videos, can you summarize the argument?
The first is a short 5min clip that summarizes the larger original talk. Basically Web 3.0 provides many tools that will make the “control grid” tech mostly obsolete, but few are tech savy enough to take advantage of it in this early stage of its implementation. Like the end of the fiat currencies, the new AI tech can be used by BOTH sides, eg. adding “noise”, shading, obscuring and fake trails to one’s activity (but this is only a temp thing). Just as the digital currencies are in their last gasp, so will the tech-bros AI control-grid dreams go the way of the dodo. AI will become more simple and local enough to create a shield against the PUBLIC free-range turkey shoot where the “normies” graze online.
THanks for the summary… based on it, I’m not certain I agree at all…
That is the problem, looking at things now without seeing the changes that are happening in the landscape which is mostly only populated by more tech-savy crowd. Its exciting to see how much can be done with so little, and its just beginning. Reminds me of the Lo-techs revolution in Johnny Mnemonic movie. Seems like the momentum of the tornado of the AI tech bros throwing gazillions at their control grid fantasy is inevitable, but the people opposing this haven’t even got started yet. Just these few examples are very recent possibilities that show the start of an awakening of a counter-power movement that has the energy and know-how to create something that can start turning the tide. Can’t agree or disagree with something when there wasn’t any awareness or reality of people working on the counter.
I think you’re misunderstanding the nature of my disagreement. I’m not certain at this stage that the problem can be fixed by resorting to more of the same. Perhaps I am wrong and time will tell. What is inevitable is that the tech is here to stay. I remember the hype on crypto-currencies and blockchain &c, and hence am very skeptical here as well.
