With today’s story we may, perhaps, have a clue as to the real motivations for the latest assassination attempt on Mr. Trump. In last Monday’s blog I suggested that the purpose of such “failed” assassination attempts is really to ensure that a leader stays on the reservation and continues to do what he’s told. In…
Soon after I purchased my first home in the early 90’s, I dug up an old walnut stump in the front flower bed. I needed no help identifying it as the wisp of smoke from my axe stroke (yes, it was that dry) awakened a fragrance from high school wood shop. Years later, I realized the shoots I had been repeatedly cutting down in the dense, backyard oleander were also black walnut. That stump happened to be in a straight line with the long-gone one out front.
A friend later told me about this new, time-sucking website called Historic Aerials. It contains aerial photographic imagery from around the country with some pics dating back to the 1940’s. When one uses the Compare-Diffuse layer tool, he/she can examine two, overlayed images of the same area, each from a different year, by sliding one control back and forth. In effect, a time machine.
I knew that our neighborhood was built in the 1950’s on one of many large walnut orchards (the realtor told us and so did the termite exterminator bill, haha). With Historic Aerials, I was able to pick out the exact two trees I described above! Even today, I still think it is very, very cool website.
I have long believed AI is the central control mechanism for destructive weather worldwide, but have had years to acclimate to the idea. Your post today, Dr. Farrell, is one of the most sobering and disheartening I have read on this website. Tokenizing that which all humans collectively need is very, very evil.
