… Think of all the hours wasted watching 20 years of this “me no find nothing”. We could have spent all of that time working on ways to help arm Ireland.

One of my first experiences with “Reality TV” was a 20 odd episode survival show called “The Colony” set in a post-pandemic Los Angeles suburb back around 2008 I think…
Going in I’d assumed it was a cheap knock-off human version of the “Universe 25” mouse utopia.
Later found out how much they interfered with the production rather than just documenting it…
Paid actors in the mix, script changes.
Yeah, I know…was still quite naive at the time. Maybe I still am to a degree, but I no longer believe much of anything ouright produced for views. All the evidence goes in to a hopper and is filtered out for later analysis (
Oak Island? There was something there at one point. Not anymore. Back in the 70’s I remember Leonard Nimoy’s narration on “In search of”…pretty believable at the time, but I’d bet it was all long gone even then…it made the papers after all so, in my mind, that’s the all-clear.

… I agree … at one time maybe something … now, I do not think so.
Based on what little history there is of the island it seems a good bet that the cabbage farmer who suddenly became wealthy probably found what little was left.

… their method of searching seems odd. LIDAR that entire island, satellite search for precious metals (yes, we have that technology), side scan radar search the waters around the island (maybe there is a ship or two out there nearby), heavy duty metal detect and GPR every square inch of that island. … maybe then dig?

Say what you will about shows like Unsealed Alien Files, UFO Hunters, Ancient Aliens, UTube videos. etc. If the Representatives and Senators assigned to their respective “UFO” hearings studied up on these they wouldn’t look so surprised and baffled when the “occurrences” are mentioned. These were/are popular shows, so I would think the general public is far ahead of them on the subject matter. But I have to wonder about the genuineness of their efforts.
