Trump and technocracy, well kinda we knew, but to borrow a Candace Owens catchphrase, "now we know know."

And just as with Project Warp Speed and al that “science” of the quackzines,

"President Trump recently ordered the acceleration of 6G deployment with a stated goal to operate “IMPLANTABLE TECHNOLOGIES” "

So what happens when you can’t buy or use a smartphone, but all that smartphone functionality is only available as an implanted chip/device? Nokia planning for just this.

I opined in the car this morning (or was it yesterday? Time is so strange lately) people are going to have to start building a parallel society and economy now. Or they will be hamstrung into using the jail digital system for life. This is beyond food, it’s money , it’s jobs, it’s everything.
We need a bifurcation.

Agreed the separation of the wheat from the chaffe is defintiely indicated sooner rather than later. “Refuges” need to be identified and built.

There are platforms doing it for themselves, social media sites, etc
But we need things in real life.
Stores that only take real money,
I guess it all begins with making new currency that is based on local resources?
And prior to that it begins with finding people with actual balls.
People that entered stores without masks and didnt get the jab would be a start.
‘idiots’ to quote the ‘useful idiots’

This harkens back to the 1800s and early 1900s when people were founding colonies based on their own beliefs, free of a tyrannical systems oppression. Moving to USA for freedom, moving to South America for freedom, from the Old Country.
There is no place to run to , now we have to make a stand.

No AI
No digital ‘currency’
No unchecked immigration/porous borders
No religious persecution

We need to find or create the 21st Century version, which probably needs to be a decntralised entity with some form of a common wealth by which to run it’s economy in a decntralised way…not offering any for of crypto. Perhaps by skills, resources sharing and competence trading via the internet for far parts and physical exhange locally.

Interesting Scarmoge, will follow up on that that. Thank you!

gold is being snatched up ,and hard to find
I think in dry climates like where I am at, water is precious.
You could do a water currency  as pennies maybe or dollars.
Then if you have plenty of that you could move up to stable foods. Grains and onions/potatoes?
Then if you have enough of that ,you could go into luxuries, booze, cigarettes, books, games.
hmmm
That’s barter.
But what about ‘currency’ ? hmmmm
Also we don’t want to be reliant on electricity.

Yes and water is plentiful in Ireland but skills are scarce with 85% of young adults between 18 to 25 years old emigrating every year, been like since well before Covid. It’s basically the housing scarcity pricing and rental rates driving the emigration.

… are you referring to that demographic leaving Ireland? If so … very sad.

Yes precisely. Unfortunately that is exactly the demographic, trained and educated to third level and they will have a quite high STEM curriculum prevalence in their education. Even the Gardaí are leaving.

… How difficult is it to (legally) come into Ireland?

Well UK citizens and Ireland have athe CTA (common travel area agreement). UK citizens can work and live in Ireland with visa and vice versa for now.
Anyone with an Irish grandparent will be entitled to an Irish pasport.
Any EU citizen can work and live in Ireland.
It has easy visa travel travel arrangements between USA and Ireland, and anyone travelling to the US can pre-clear (as if they have landed in US) at Dublin airport.

… what about coming there to live and work?

If you possess a British passport no visa requirment exists under CTA, people move and live/work in either country really at will.
