"Trump Derangement Syndrome"? Two Canadians weigh in

A (Canadian) friend has recently started distributing aggressive propaganda about Trump and the Americans – blaming them for collapse in US-Canada trade talks. Other Canadians have stopped speaking with anyone who is not spouting vitriol against the US President. Even someone, like myself, who is neither into Trump Worship nor Trump Bashing, has to endure this kind of mind abuse from fellow Canadians who seem to be worked into a frenzy, and I’m hard pressed to find people conversing rationally about what’s going on. (Did I use the word “converse”?)

I find conversations like the recent one between Dr. Farrell and Dark Journalist (re: Project Rainbow) to be more interesting, more insightful, with respect to interests affecting the US President (that no one around here wants to talk about).

I am quite concerned about everything that’s wrong in Canada being blamed on Trump! People look south of the border instead of at themselves. What’s wrong in Canada is partly due to personal choices Canadians have made about everything in our lives: the commercial systems we support, the products we buy, the food and medicines we choose to ingest, the news and noises we take in, the books we read, the politicians we elect, the schooling we choose (and thereby support), the arts we support, the clubs and churches we join (and in whose local ideologies we participate), the friends we choose, and on and on and on. Our lifestyles say everything about what we support, and therefore, to me, this TDS (as it is called) is nothing but an absolving of personal responsibility in the outcomes of our lives.

A lot of Canadians are posting vitriol directed at USA for the trade talk collapse, and I offer here a couple of articles by Canadians who don’t blame the USA for everything that’s wrong in Canada.

@sunnyboy - I’m with you on this one. I’ve noticed the same thing. I don’t bring the Trump topic up to anybody, but it seems that no matter what anybody is talking about, Trump always comes into the conversation by everyone else and it just rapidly deteriorates from there. I’ve actually had to just walk away from conversations on several occasions. It’s absolutely unbelievable here in Canada. Quite frankly, I think that the brainwashing from CBC and CTV is magnitudes worse than CNN.

We have had that experience too! We don’t even mention Trump, and somehow the Trump-Blamers always manage to wrench conversations in that direction! And woe if you want to examine other things that could be causing some of the problems! Even complete strangers on the beach, who stop to say hello for one reason or another, manage to bring it there: Trump is to blame for absolutely everything! The price of food. The price of gas. The shortage of doctors. Forest fires. “Climate Change”. You name it – it’s all Trump’s Fault!!! (Meanwhile, our own government is the one slapping tariffs on the stuff that winds up in our stores! Our own policies are the ones to blame for doctor shortages – they’re all fleeing to other provinces and countries because of policies written by Canadian political minds and hands.)

And yes, @Scarmoge – unfettered immigration is problematic, as it is in the entire western world – it is more like invasion than immigration (because of the pacing), as there don’t seem to be clear standards for assimilation into the culture at that kind of pace. Nevertheless, I don’t lump all Muslims into the same cauldron. A couple of years ago, some Muslim families organized a Canada-wide protest against all that sex crap and porn that’s being forced on children in schools. I was thankful they did that. None of the Trump Blamers showed up at those protests, and those Trump Blamers never speak out against what goes on in the schools. We were there and saw how all the Union-Funded Rainbow mobs showed up in their brightly coloured costumes and loud voices and shouted down the (Muslim) parents who were trying to voice what were rational concerns about their kids being exposed to all that sex crap in the school system – and we were very grateful that there were parents who cared enough to try to organize a protest for this cause. The Rainbow Mobs were very successful in shutting down that protest.

Here, in Canada, there is an avalanche of rubble crashing down all at once, the unfettered and chaotic immigration invasion being like an icing on the cake. And all problems just get blamed on Trump, all the time, only ever on Trump, Trump, Trump!

… “I don’t lump all Muslims into the same cauldron.” Out of caution you might want to act as if that is true. That protest you mention was an opportunity for optics to say “Look, we are like you.” “See, we hate the same things as you.” True, they may on occasion “hate the same things as you” but they do not hate them for the same reasons as you. No, no they are not like you and never can be nor will they be. They are in countries other than their own like Canada, the US, the UK, France, Italy, the Low Countries and Spain to take them over (along with the already created nuclear weapons available in certain countries) and not to assimilate and participate in Western Culture. Muslims will lie to you and deceive you right up until the moment they slit your throat. If we think for a single second that we are not in a Civilizational War, a Religious War and a Race War we are just coping and seriously deluding ourselves. I hope that the majority in the US and Canada will snap out of their delusion and not fall for their long game.

You sound very sure about that protest that I attended having been for “optics”, even though you did not attend that particular protest. I was there, Scarmoge, because of an issue, which I think is important: children should NOT (!!!) be inundated with sex porn at school!!! Whether a group of Muslim organizes it, or some other group, I don’t care. I think it’s important to sometimes show up to public protests (of issues that mean something to our values) to send messages to politicians who are pushing us in unnatural directions. As opposed to always blaming “Trump” for everything.

I was born in Toronto, a multi-cultural city – and I got to know a lot of immigrants in my communities and schools. There were racial jokes, indeed everyone was joking about everyone else. In Toronto, mixing with people of different homelands was natural (my own parents also having been immigrants). During those days, at least some immigrants seemed happy to be in Canada, and to become “Canadian citizens” and participate in Canadian life. What is going on now – though – feels unlike the milieu in which I was raised. The Globalists seem to be fully in charge of Canada, and this has been openly so for at least 15 years, the point at which many of their servants were installed in the institutions – and their order was more or less smashed in our faces in 2020.

I’m not sure how many protests you attend, but going to at least a few, you get a sense of a crowd. The parents who organized that protest that I attended, and who were mobbed out by the union-funded Rainbow Warriors do not appear to be the same as some of the Muslim-associated groups who are showing up across Canada on the university campuses and in the streets of major Canadian cities causing unrest and mayhem and that are giving grief to citizen journalists who try to report about them.

I do think there is something valid in what you say about “optics” – and these optics penetrate deep below the surface of what we are being led to think. Many Canadians (the ones daring to converse and blog about this) have been asking questions about who is funding the groups causing the mayhem, and have been mentioning different non-profit groups (including alson ones that seem to be based in the USA), and I don’t rule out the possibility that some of these groups are in contact with some Muslim associations (perhaps even like that parent association that organized the protest for kids) to say “Look, we are like you”, to try to steer them about, and harness their energy. It is a VERY BIG GLOBAL CAULDRON!!!

In Canada, there is a concerted effort, that feels very meticulously organized, to goad every person to hate every other person, based on that person’s race or religion or even political opinions. – Indigenous, Russian, Black, White, Chinese, Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Conservative, Liberal, Trump This or Trump That – you name it, someone is goading, goading, goading. And the AI stuff and the Rainbow stuff, the out-of-control drug addiction, nutritional ailments, weird sanitation policies (harsh chemicals being sprayed in stores), and state of bad health in the population coupled with fleeing health professionals (due to laws that will fine or imprison them if they choose to treat the patient as opposed to follow rigid political protocols). Along with the issue of private property, digital ID, government spending on frivolous things while much needed issues remain unaddressed. Their goal is that every Canadian is completely bereft of health, property, security and any friend whatsoever, and completely tethered to an inhuman commercial system. I find all of this very suspicious – so many things going on all at once. Meanwhile, while all is unleashed at once, in Canada, the police are being told to do nothing if the well-funded political mobs are affiliated with some woke ideology that is being pushed to inflame people – and so the policing system has become ultra racist (i.e., in doing nothing to punish a crime simply because the perpetrator belongs to a certain race).

Actually – there is an underlying IRONY here –

Across Canada, streets, schools, buildings, parks are being renamed – in a kind of cultish frenzy – into (non-Roman) lettering (and pronunciation?) of some academic contrived language that no one knows. In the guise of “reconcilliation”, and consultants and lawyers are smirking their way to their ever-inflating bank accounts, while people in these places face nightmares of having to make address changes for their drivers’ licenses and bank accounts and everything else. It would not surprise me if this “Lake America” thing might be a deeper dig at this name change phenomenon (industry?) throughout Canada…

Now, very few Canadians have given a royal “peep” about this INSANE renaming frenzy across the country (into language that is not even English, nor even recognizable in terms of lettering). I bet the Trump Blamers are going to blow loud horns over “Lake America” though!

I lack a sense of humour about this, but I asked Mr. Sunnyboy to find something that could make David8pies laugh, and he came up with this one minute dig that illustrates, very clearly, the name change cult going on in Canada, which makes Lake America a pale joke in the Hintergrund:

I managed an RV park here in south Texas from 2012 to 2022 where northerners came to spend their winter months. My favorite “Winter Texans” were those from Canada. Always cheerful, helpful and active folks for the most part. Even then they would joke about the questionable government policies. Their main concern was the exchange rate for the Canadian dollar vs. the American dollar. It was quite expensive for them to make the trip each year, especially when they got older, the out of country health insurance was costly and unavailable if they experienced certain health issues that year.

Ironically this area is a migration point for many species of birds and quite popular for ornithology fans with many bird sanctuaries during the migration. A couple of miles down the same road as the RV park is a major one. We catered to “birders” as a marketing strategy and were quite successful. There were many hackberry trees that produced red berries green parrots favored. They congregated in flocks and made one heck of a racket and mess when they swooped down onto the trees. Word got out and birders flocked to the bark. They were the coolest and easiest going folks. Many were retired professionals.

i was into ‘birding’, as we call it, in my teens. where I live now we have 113some types of birds. I have 2 blackbird nests in my garden, others passing through.
but there is a tree in my street, about 30 meters from me. it is like 15-16 meters in height, it’s crown is orblike and 10 meters wide and is inhabited by hundreds of birds! there are like 250 to 350 at least, at least half a dozen types. really awesome!
