In addition to the rare earths embargo, the last US dynamite factory blew up last week, so effectively we are going to be short of munitions for a while. I’m wondering if part of the compromise to get rare earths and TNT to make weapons is going to be ease away from Taiwan. Without an easing of the rare earths embargo we will be entering a decade of peace as we must conserve our high tech weapons for true defensive purposes. I’m sure a black market is going to develop for rare earths.
