I think we’re all well aware of the recent proclamations of “trust the science” from our technocratic overlords…yeh, that turned out real well… lock down, mask or jab anyone? 
This just goes to show that modern science is in fact a religion with its own priesthood…which, of course is within their right to view it as such…but enough with the denials of the spiritual devotion…however…it’s ironic that their faith is based on faulty books and texts…who would still study physics out of a 1950s physics book…it’s the very definition of building one’s house on shifting sands…
That said…is there in fact a very real “spiritual” metaphysical power behind this predominant faith of our age?
It is very possible that those who tout peak technology and limits to humanities technological progress are spot on and that the limits of the age of naturalistic materialistic scientism is being or has been reached to a large degree?
Is it true that unless there are “inputs” from “outside” our physical micro/macrocosm from some “other” force or power from the metacosm than the boasts and promises of the singularity and our star trek future may be a mere mirage?
Is this why the age of reason appears to be giving way to the age of re-enchantment as our technocratic priesthood turns to the more occult and esoteric “sciences” in hope of yet producing future Promethean fire?
