Food for thought…good post. Reminds me of the IT department where I used to work who had to install and create patches for upgrades and add ons to the existing software programs. They would launch the changes knowing they were not complete with the idea of fixing the bugs later after the installation.

That’s exactly what they’re doing.
More and more people in the know comes out with information saying the opposite of what has been presented to us for the longest, in what seems more and more like a market strategy designed to shape the AI universe into how they want for it to shape.
The outcome of course has a tendency to counter hopes and plans rather significantly.
This interview with Ed Zitron had some interesting viewpoints and I liked the interview with Connor Leahy rather well, where he reveals some (shocking/insane) facts about AI capabilities, unfortunately in a clandestine and destructive way.

Just seen some information on Braxmans site about Jev, a multiple choice AI model that is leaner, clearly the ram shortages are forcing new thinking. The existing models are becoming outdated toasters within weeks at this point!
