Russia has very little to offer China anymore; I agree with Zeihan on this one. Why should China join sanctions when there’s little to sanction?

China doesn’t follow the leader.
The reason is; in their narrative, China is the leader.
The CCP does not do as they’re told;
even Hollywood self-censures their blockbusters to please the CCP.
China didn’t join the TPP, because of the nation state clause,
that said the TPP document takes precedence over any state[constitution or dictator or PARTY].

Plus, China knows the USSA is not agreement capable.
So China sides w/agreement capable Russia.
Still China will sanction dance[gathering information].

China does not need Russia now, nor, perhaps not in the future.
