Development of the digital gulag and control grid continues. This decision, brought in by the Richie Sunak government means that by 2030 no paper charts will be produced. It had been targeted for 2026 but that proved less feasible apparently. I can only imagine that the marine insurance industry and sailing lobby groups advocated somewhere within the process.
… They aren’t going anywhere … Mongo say “Empire Go Away.” Since they only need sail up and down the coasts of the island now … No loss. Probably better to study the “old maps” anyway. Isn’t that quite a bt of liability for Englandistan to take on? I can imagine Lloyds bringing suit to recover their losses based on the use of “bad maps”. Hmmmm. Did they really think this thing through? Probably not.
